Productivity Calculator
A productivity calculator turns raw output numbers into a rate you can compare across shifts, teams, or machines. It simply divides the amount produced by the time or labor used.
If you run a bakery and bake 240 loaves in an 8‑hour shift, the tool tells you how many loaves per hour you’re averaging. The result helps you spot bottlenecks without any fancy software.

How it's calculated
Basic formula
Productivity = Output ÷ Input
- *Output* can be units produced, tasks completed, or any measurable result.
- *Input* is usually time (hours) or labor (worker‑hours).
Worked example
Suppose a call center handles 1,200 calls in a 6‑hour period with 4 agents working the whole time.
- Total input = 6 hours × 4 agents = 24 agent‑hours
- Productivity = 1,200 calls ÷ 24 agent‑hours = 50 calls per agent‑hour
You can compare this figure to other days or to industry benchmarks.
